Project Overview

The City of Arden Hills has gone through the bidding process and awarded New Look Contracting with a project to replace a sanitary sewer forcemain pipe between Lake Johanna Boulevard and County Road E, along power line/trail easement area. The map below illustrates the corridor where this project is planned. This sanitary sewer pipe is a key part of the City’s sewage management system that ensures that the City is able to ensure a reliable and safe wastewater collection and treatment system. This project has been planned for in the City’s Capital Improvement Plan project funding will not include special assessments to property owners.

Residents can expect to see surveyors, and contractor personnel and equipment, as well as private utilities such as Xcel Energy, in the area in the next couple of months and throughout the fall working on these tasks.

For the blue and green lines (installation of new sewer pipe), most of the work is expected to occur without excavation, but the areas highlighted with the yellow boxes are expected to be excavation areas and result in lane/road closures. Access to all properties are required to remain from at least one direction and closures on County Road E and Stowe Ave shall require posted detours. The red line indicates abandonment of the existing sewer pipe which will require very little disturbance to the surface.

This webpage will be updated as the project progresses with milestones and rough timelines. The project is planned to be substantially completed this fall. Once again, there will be trail and roadway closures on this project. Please adhere to the detours and other signage on site when they are posted.Sewer Improvements Project Map-web
