The City of Arden Hills is looking for a Building & Code Enforcement Inspector to join our team! This position conducts inspections of new or remodeled buildings for compliance with applicable codes and ordinances governing construction; plumbing, mechanical, housing and zoning. 

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing and issuing building permits for residential, commercial and industrial projects
• Conducting inspections to ensure compliance with building and city codes
• Performing plan reviews
• Working with residents and contractors to answer questions and provide guidance
• Acting as code enforcement officer related to public nuisances

This a full time position with a salary range of $81,640–$103,417 per year (depending on qualifications).

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will end winter load increases and start spring load restrictions on Monday, March 3 (MnDOT 2026 Spring Seasonal Load Limit Notification).

The Ralph Reeder Food Shelf and Community Resource Center provides food, basic needs and connections to other services for any school district family and any low-income, food-insecure neighbor requesting assistance. Their primary service area includes the cities of New Brighton, Mounds View, Shoreview, Arden Hills, North Oaks, Roseville, St. Anthony and Ramsey County.

Depending on eligibility, individuals and families have access to three options:

• Shop Inside: Shop for nutritious food, household essentials and referrals to supportive community resources. (Appointments required)
• Fast Curbside Pickup: Pick up pre-packed groceries, such as fruits and veggies, meats, dairy and canned goods. (Appointments required)
• Delivery: Available for seniors and disabled adults as well as school referrals.

The City of Arden Hills will NEVER ask for a wire transfer and all emails will come from an @cityofardenhills.org email address.
