[ARCHIVED] City Statement on George Floyd and Inclusivity

The City of Arden Hills

The City of Arden Hills shares with others our anger, frustration and pain following the tragic death of George Floyd, which has revealed divisions and inequities across our communities. We stand with peaceful protestors who seek justice, and we are working with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office to ensure fair and equitable treatment of those who participate. As we have in the past, the city continuously works with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office to ensure our public safety policies and procedures are also fair and equitable.

The City of Arden Hills continues to foster an inclusive and welcoming community and strives to provide the highest quality public service possible to people of all backgrounds. We support our communities of color, especially our Black community, during this difficult time. It is important that everyone visiting and living in Arden Hills feels safe and welcome. During these challenging times, we ask our community to reach out to your neighbors, to listen, to be safe and to be kind.
