[ARCHIVED] Vote Early by Absentee Ballot

Vote by mail

All voters can vote early before Election Day by absentee ballot in Minnesota. You do not need to provide a reason for voting early.

  •  Voting for the August 11 State Primary begins Friday, June 26. View vote in person information.
  • Voting for the November 3 General Election begins Friday, Sept. 18.

Visit the Minnesota Secretary of State to register to vote, check your registration status, or request an absentee ballot to vote by mail for both the state primary and the general election. Ballots will be mailed to home addresses. You can track a ballot to make sure it’s been received and counted after voting.
