The Lake Johanna Fire Department has issued their annual report for 2020. The report outlines the department's activities and provides interesting reporting metrics. A few highlights are:
- Arden Hills had a total of 1,044 calls, with Shoreview and North Oaks at 2,020 and 497, respectively. The total calls are down from 2019 (3,627 versus 3,820) primarily due to COVID-19 resulting in fewer calls in the second quarter as people worked from home.
- Arden Hills had an average response time of 6:00 minutes; last year’s was 6:01.
- Rescue and Emergency Medical Services made up a majority of the department's calls at 75%; less than 2% was for actual fire responses.
