At its March 25 regular meeting, The Arden Hills City Council conducted a public hearing and amended the city’s Tobacco Products Ordinance. The amendment raises the legal age to purchase tobacco to 21 in the city and bans the sale of flavored products (fruit, candy, gum, wintergreen, mint and menthol) at all city retail establishments and tobacco shops. Compliance with the amended ordinance will begin on July 1, 2019. You can review the adopted ordinance and summary ordinance. For this and other ordinance information, please visit our City Code.
