The Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce (TCN), in partnership with the Cities of Arden Hills and Shoreview, has been awarded a Critical Corridors Grant from Ramsey County. This grant, along with donations from the City of Arden Hills and Shoreview, has funded a campaign that promotes local businesses and encourages shoppers to patronize the many retail establishments along Lexington Avenue. The goal of this initiative is to provide support and assistance to local businesses who were impacted by the Lexington Avenue construction project.
On January 17, Mayor Grant, Councilmember Holden, City Staff, and other stakeholders celebrated the Campaign Kickoff at the Shoreview YMCA just off of Lexington Avenue. John Connelly, President of the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the campaign. “We realized early that businesses along Lexington were negatively impacted by the road construction more than [previously] anticipated.. so we created the Taskforce to find resources and strategies that would promote the corridor. This will be short-term promotion lasting until August of 2023. However, the website will still be up as a resource for all these businesses beyond 2023.”
