2018 Updates

Posted November 30
Road has been opened to traffic with striping completed.
Construction has halted for the winter.

Site restoration and paving operations are ongoing. Concrete curb and gutter work and trail paving for the portion of trail on Old Snelling Avenue between McCracken Lane and County Road E-2 are scheduled for the week of October 8.

Old Snelling Road will reopen on August 10.

Posted June 26
Old Snelling Road will remain closed at the railroad bridge until the week of July 9.

Old Snelling Road will be closed at the railroad bridge starting June 11 for three weeks. Watch for detours.

Traffic control has been set up and removals have begun in all areas of the project. Underground utility work will continue for a few weeks.

September 11, 2017 City Council authorizes final design

December 12, 2017 Neighborhood meeting held

February 12, 2018 City Council approved plans and specifications and ordered the advertisement for bids

March 22, 2018 Bid Opening

March 26, 2018 City Council awarded the construction contract to Sunram Construction
