2018 Street and Utility Improvement Project

2020 Updates
Spring 2020
The project is substantially complete. The contractor will address remaining punch list items this spring prior to the project being closed out.

Final paving is complete on the project and the contractor is working on final punch list items. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Engineering Department.
Summer 2019

Final paving starts September 11 for areas 2 and 3. A newsletter (PDF) was sent to impacted residents.

New sod was laid in areas impacted by construction. A newsletter was sent to residents.
Spring 2019
Work will resume with final paving and final restoration of disturbed areas.

Weather conditions permitting, the contractor will be returning to the site in May. Site restoration and final soil stabilization will take place once soil conditions permit. Concrete repairs will begin in approximately two weeks. Final paving operations will follow the concrete repairs and are expected to take place late May or early June. As always, please be mindful of the workers and drive carefully.

Construction has halted for the winter.

Work in Area 1 (see Project Area Map below) is complete. Site restoration is ongoing in Area 2. Road base preparation is underway in Area 3. Concrete curb and gutter, driveway repairs, and roadway paving in Area 3 will follow the road base preparation.

The storm sewer and the curb installation have been completed in Area 1. Beginning the week of June 25, the contractor will work on correcting the road subbase in preparation for final grading and paving. In Area 2, watermain replacement and sanitary sewer spot repairs are underway. After the watermain and sanitary repairs are complete, the contractor will begin installing new storm sewer. Although removals and some storm sewer work have been completed in Area 3, the majority of the work in Area 3 is scheduled to begin in late July. Based on the contractor’s latest schedule, construction will be complete by the end of October.

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of June 4th. Traffic control will be set up and removals will begin in Areas 1 & 2. Work in Area 3 is scheduled to begin in late July.
