The City sponsors a compost bin and rain barrel sale once a year in May at the Roseville City Hall. Bins and rain barrels can be purchased at a reduced rate. Check back in the spring for more details about the annual sale.  Purchase a Bin or Barrel

Organics Recycling
Ramsey County residents now have the opportunity to recycle their organic waste for FREE at a Ramsey County Yard Waste site (except Arden Hills). The Mounds View location is at 8307 Long Lake Road. This includes food scraps, non-recyclable paper products, coffee grounds, dryer lint and more! For additional details about this program please visit the Organics Recycling webpage provided by Ramsey County or call the Ramsey County Master Gardeners at 651.704.2071 (leave a message).

How to Use the Organics Recylcing Drop-off:

  1. Pick up FREE compostable bags at the six Ramsey County yard waste sites that collect organic waste.
  2. Fill the compostable bags with food waste (including meat, dairy and bones), and non-recyclable paper (including paper plates, napkins and pizza boxes). You can also include compostable cups, plates, utensils, bags, etc. Pizza boxes and other cardboard and paper food packaging do not need to be bagged.
  3. Bring your organics to a Ramsey County Yard Waste site during regular hours.
  4. Put the organics bag in the designated container. Look for signage.
  5. When you need more compostable bags, ask a yard waste monitor. They’re free!
